What we are about
We are a startup nonprofit organization whose purpose is to empower church leaders and lay persons with the training, skills, and resources to provide exceptional counseling services to their congregations and community.
Our training program is currently under development and is slated to launch summer of 2025. Topics include ethics, law, crisis counseling techniques, marriage, premarital, basic attending skills, when to refer to a professional, and more.
We will also have resources such as books, pamphlets, and videos that will enhance the training.
Finally, we are working on a certification program so that your congregation and community will feel comfortable knowing they are getting the necessary help they need.
Who we are
Church Counseling Resources was founded by Melinda and Charles Bower. Inspired by Melinda's passion for fostering healthy relationships, the organization was established. The training is developed in collaboration with a team of fully licensed counselors and therapists, under the guidance of Charles, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, to ensure it meets the highest standards of excellence.
